New businesses coming to Austin Landing
MIAMI TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) -- New businesses are coming to Austin Landing.
The Miami Township Board of Trustees approved the last building to be built near the park.
Austin Landing started back in 2008, as a field and has now turned into a one stop shop for people in the area.
And as it expands, the excitement around what's next, is building.
"It's gorgeous. It's one of the nicer developments I've seen," said Scott Trevenen, lives in Miamisburg.
Scott Trevenen and his family, enjoy coming to Austin Landing at least once a month.
"I like the fact that it's more family oriented instead of a nightclub or something like that," said Trevenen.
Buildings have been popping up over the last few years.
One of the newest businesses to make Miami Township home, is Bar 145.
"It's an exciting time to see what's going on and see what's happening, and see the expansion of Austin Landing," Kiel Rohrbacher, General Manager at Bar 145.
Bar 145, has been at Austin Landing for about six months, and already has seen big changes.
"When we came down here the building the movie theater, it was just dirt. And now when you walk by there's a building," said Trevenen.
Just across the street is a park. And the last building to be built there, was decided Tuesday night at the Miami Township Board of Trustees meeting.
"It's very exciting. Again as we continue to evolve Austin Landing its great to see more restaurant tenants come in to finish the park area," said Kyle Hinkleman, Deputy Director of Community Development.
These are the renderings of the new building, that will be home to three new restaurants.
New business, that excites those already calls Austin Landing home.
"Bringing people in only makes you busier and that's a good thing," said Rohrbacher.
We spoke to the developer off camera at the meeting.
He's not saying what restaurants will be built by the park, but did say they'll be making that announcement this summer.
