Man wanted for double murder in Springfield captured in northern Indiana
SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) - A Springfield man wanted for a double murder has been captured in northwestern Indiana.
Kyle Bonaparte, 20, was wanted by Springfield Police for a double murder that happened October 4 at an apartment on Delta Road. Police say Joshua Brown, 26, died after he was shot multiple times. Police say Raina Beal, 23, was shot in the head while she was holding a child. Bell later died, the child was not injured.
In the early morning hours Friday, October 20, members of the U.S. Marshal's Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST) took Bonaparte into custody in Portage, Indiana, which is just east of Gary, Indiana. Authorities say Bonaparte will be held in Portage, Indiana until he's extradited back to Springfield.
