Man indicted for attempted murder in connection to stabbing attack of ex-girlfriend
DAYTON, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) - A Fairfield man was indicted Thursday for attempted murder in connection with the stabbing attack of his ex-girlfriend in Trotwood.
Police said 26-year-old Jordan Hardy drove from his home in Butler County September 19 to his ex-girlfriend's apartment. He reportedly broke out a window to get inside and went to where the girl was hiding before repeatedly stabbing her with a knife.
When the victim's roommate heard what was going on, that person wrestled the knife away from Hardy before attacking him, according to police. All three people involved were taken to the hospital for treatment.
The Montgomery County Grand Jury indicted Hardy for attempt to commit murder, two counts of felonious assault with a deadly weapon, two counts of felonious assault with intent to cause serious hard and four counts of aggravated burglary.
A warrant has been issued for his arrest once he's released from the hospital, and Hardy is set to be arraigned October 26.
