Heroin, alcohol suspected in OVI crash
WEST CHESTER TWP, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) - Troopers say heroin and alcohol are believed to be factors in a crash that sent one man to the hospital early this morning.
The crash happened on I-75 North, south of Union Center Boulevard in West Chester Township just after 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 1.
According to a release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a 2009 Chevy Cobalt stopped on I-75 North when a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica struck the vehicle.
Troopers say the driver of the Cobalt, Richard Fair Jr., 55 of Loveland, was found unresponsive by West Chester EMS. He was revived at the scene with Narcan.
Fair was transported to UC Medical Center in West Chester with non-life threatening injuries.
According to the release, Fair was charged with OVI, a seat belt violation and stopping in the roadway.
The driver and three occupants of the Pacifica were treated at the scene for minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
