11 homeless after fire rips through Miami Twp. apartment complex

MIAMI TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WRGT) - Fire leaves nearly a dozen people homeless when flames ripped through an apartment complex in Miami Township overnight.

Fire crews were called to the Mad River apartment complex on Shady Water Lane around 2:15 Friday morning, September 23. Firefighters tell us eight of the 10 units in one building have been destroyed.

It's not yet clear what started the blaze, but investigators have been called in to help determine the cause. We do know that the apartment where the fire started was occupied.
