DAYTON, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) - Dayton Power and Light officials said they're sending line techs to Michigan to help after a winter storm terrorized the state over the weekend.

Freezing rain falling overnight made the roads dangerous and cut power to hundreds of thousands of homes and businesses by Sunday, and the forecast called for a foot or more of snow to be dumped on parts of the Upper Peninsula.

The 16 line techs left to start helping Monday morning, and will stay out in the wolverine state as long as necessary to help.
