Dayton Police and neighbors get better understanding of each other at training course
DAYTON, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) – Dayton Police and some neighbors took the chance to get a better understanding of each other Feb. 25.
A two-day training course, the first of its kind here in Dayton, focused on improving police and community relations.
About 6 officers and 10 members of the community were there to work.
“Have an opportunity to get to know each other in a deeper way which had more substance to it is something different than what we’ve done other times in Dayton,” mediation center contractor Janet Mueller said.
Organizers said they hope to continue to the training in the future.
