Dayton business helps residents celebrate National Bike to Work Day
DAYTON, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) – People around the country are getting ready for national Bike to Work day on May 19, and one Miami Valley business wants to help residents join in the fun!
Everyone across the United States is encouraged to use peddle power and keep their cars in the garage or driveway.
Locally, Link Bikes will be free for anyone to pick up. You still will have to swipe your card, but as long as you return it, it’s free.
“So every year, we have team challenges which encourages different businesses or neighborhoods or groups to gather all their riders to come down together en mass and actually sign up,” Lucy Sanchez with Five Rivers MetroParks said, “and we have winners for the team challenge so we give out prizes.”
There will be a free pancake breakfast for all the bikers from 7 to 9 a.m. at Riverscape MetroPark.
