Abandoned home catches fire in Troy, investigators calling it suspicious
TROY, Ohio (WRGT) - A home in Troy catches fire overnight and firefighters say they can't save the home, they just have to let it burn to the ground.
Firefighters were called to the home in the 2000 block of Piqua-Troy Road just before 12:30 a.m. Monday. No one was inside the home when the fire broke out, firefighters say when they got on the scene, they could see smoke and flames shooting from the home.
At this point, investigators are calling the fire suspicious.
The home sits back about a mile from the road in the middle of a wooded area. While firefighters say they can't save the home, they are working to make sure flames don't spread to the trees and brush.
