Credit card skimming device found at Englewood gas station
ENGLEWOOD, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) - The Montgomery County Auditor's Office has been called to the Sunoco gas station on South Main Street in Englewood after a credit card skimming device was found.
The Bluetooth-enabled device was reportedly found during a routine inspection at the gas station, and was placed on a pump that was out of sight for the attendants.
Englewood Police have opened a criminal investigation into the incident after confiscating the device. Anyone who has recently been to the gas station should check their bank account or credit card statements to see if their information was compromised.
This was the seventh skimmer to be found in a Montgomery County has pump, according to Auditor Karl Keith.
