AAA warns drivers to slow down as snow squalls blow through the Miami Valley
MIAMI VALLEY, Ohio (WKEF/WRGT) - As snow squalls continue to blow through the Miami Valley, AAA is taking the time to remind drivers to slow down while they're hitting the roads.
A snow squall is similar to a rain shower during the summer, where areas can see as much as an inch of snow fall down in about 20 minutes. However, on the road, you could be dealing with moments where it can be difficult to see or your may find yourself losing traction.
AAA reminds drivers they should be able to see and be seen by clearing all the snow off of their cars, and to consider going slower than the posted speed limit, as they are put out for ideal conditions. Stay out of the back, as it will give you plenty of room in case of loss of control or any other issues, and plan extra time in your commute.
