UPDATE: 2 arrested in connection with deadly Dayton shooting
DAYTON, Ohio (WRGT) - Two men have been arrested in connection with a shooting that killed a Dayton man Tuesday night.
Police say Jermarko Walker, Jr. and Curtis McShann were arrested on aggravated robbery charges. Detectives say they're meeting with prosecutors on Friday to determine if more charges will be filed.
Officers were called to the 400 block of Ryburn Avenue shortly before midnight on Tuesday, October 25. When they arrived on scene, investigators found more than 50 bullet shell casings in the area.
A black man who has been identified as Brandon Lanier, 27, of Dayton was found dead at the scene, investigators say he was shot in the chest and neck. Three other people were hit by gunfire, one of whom we're told has injuries that are considered to be life-threatening. Police say the three who were shot were not at the scene when they arrived, they checked themselves into Good Samaritan Hospital. Two of the three are being treated there, the third person was taken to Miami Valley Hospital. Investigators have not yet said what may have prompted the shooting.
